So your going to find I talk about shows and movies most adult males would never own up to watching. This is precisely the reason I knew I could find my place in the myriad of discussion on what used to be called the information superhighway.
My father was a minister i know that there are many images that word brings up. And trust me the worst of those annoy me too. But my dad was one of the good ones: he told every employer his family came first and felt a purpose in helping people.
I know there was a scandal recently involving a cast member on this show. But I recently binged this show. It might sound idealistic but i kind of felt it a sense of family duty to finish it.
I’m sure a lot of people stop watching Family Entertainment in their teens. I was a rapacious devourer of story all my life. I still can’t shake the couch potato nickname. I even used to tell time by the commercial breaks on shows. One thing I didn’t do was give up on a show or genre because they weren’t cool.
What impressed me about 7th Heaven is it tried to be as human as possible. People on this show screw up. The smart thing about the writing on this show, and what allowed to go 11 seasons, is that the screw ups sometimes came from trying to help. One of the mottos the Camden parents used was “Don’t help, try not to hurt.” That is a bit of wisdom I have had to learn the hard way over the years. #empowertheaudience #zaineylaney #theonetruehazard #lifeinhardmode
